This part is designed to replace the 14mm bolt used on the inboard pivot of the 911 rear trailing arms. The 1972 911's do not have the dimpled torsion tube to allow the inboard bolt to be removed unless the transmission is removed form the chassis.
The EZ Pin will fit 1965-1989 911's and can be installed with the transmission in the chassis - thereby eliminating the cost and inconvenience of removing the transmission when performing rear suspension rebuilds or upgrades.
The original bolt is removed by partially extracting the bolt - then cutting the exposed section of the bolt - this is necessary as the O.E. bolt can not be removed - or installed - when the transmission is in the chassis.
The EZ Pin can be used with original bushings or Aftermarket monoball and spherical bearing replacement parts.
